About Internet of things (IoT):
The Internet of things (IoT) is the collection of different network of physical devices like computers, pen drive , hard drive , networking devices, satellite, vehicles, home appliances and other items connected and configure with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity is done between such all devices so that they can communicate with each other They can share any amount of data with each other. Each and every device is uniquely named and identified its uniqueness through embedded computing system. And it operates on the existing internet infrastructure.
The Internet of things (IoT) helps us to remotely control any device connected to each other with the use of existing network infrastructure. So this creates more secure way of connection between physical world and computer systems. This will result in fast, accurate, secure and improved services. It will also benefit economically. Due to direct access it will reduce human intervention which in returns will lead to more accuracy.
What technologies will come under IOT.
Cyber Physical Systems.
Smart grids
Virtual power plants
Smart homes
Intelligent transportation
Smart cities.
Cyber Physical Systems.
A Cyber Physical Systems is a process in which everything is control and monitored by a computer base algorithms and perfectly integrate with the internet and its users.
Smart grids
A smart grid is a process in which controls electrical grid which includes a variety of operational and energy measuring devices like smart meters, smart appliances, renewable energy resources, and energy efficient resources. Also it includes electronic power conditioning and control of the production and distribution of electricity throughout the state
Virtual power plants
It is a cloud based technology which uses a virtual power plant (VPP) to distribute power that is collected through heterogeneous Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for the purposes of enhancing power generation, also trading and selling of electricity power collected in market
Smart homes
A whole building or particular home is fully automated. Means all the devices used here like lighting, heating ventilation, air conditioning and security like smart locks which opens with owner thumb impression or voice commands. Also the appliances like washer, dryers, ovens, refrigerators are automated.
Intelligent transportation
An intelligent transportation system (ITS) is an advanced application which provides innovative services in different transportation, also helps to manage traffic so that roads can be made more safer to travel.
Smart cities.
A smart city is an area where all the devices used are interconnected to each other. Which uses different type’s sensors for collection of data through electronic process. So that all the devices, assets, people can be managed efficiently.
With the help of collected electronic data it is easy to manage traffic and transportation of vehicles. Also power plants, electric supply, water supply and all community services.
